Flexitone Studios nestled in still one of the coolest neighbourhoods Vancouver has to offer. The vibe is the real deal, the creative energy is thick , and you know you'll get what you came for. Allan Rodger is an all-around diverse, world-class  producer, engineer and musician with an innate ability to almost read your mind and produce the music that you didn't know you had inside you;  that's the job of an outstanding producer. Whether you're a band that already has the vision or a budding songwriter looking to document your work, Allan gets the job done and then some!  As a professional vocalist, I have yet to work with anyone who has brought out the best my voice has to offer.  Flexitone Studios is a Top-tier experience!

I worked on a small-ish music project with Alan and was so impressed by a number of things that are so important for a studio such as his. First, Alan immediately tuned in to what I was trying to accomplish at a high level which meant he focused on the right aspects of my singing and instrument playing. Second, Alan quickly understood my musical style, as well as my singing and playing strengths/weaknesses which allowed him to highlight the former and avoid the latter. Third, Alan’s mixing talents are incredible; the quality of balance and tone, emphasizing the right musical tracks at the right time (I did 3 acoustic 12 string tracks, 2 acoustic 6 string tracks, two electric guitar tracks, harmonica track and 3 vocal tracks and Alan laid down terrific drum and bass tracks). Fourth (and there are more that I could mention but these are the most important in my mind), Alan was so efficient in pulling everything together, generating a final recording I never thought I could possibly be capable of, in a fraction of the time I would have expected. So, yeah, Alan is wicked good at what he does!  And also really great to work with; an absolute pleasure!

I had the opportunity to work with Allan at Flexitone Studios. It was a pleasure to work with him. A professional environment and a great studio. Allan is a perfectionist, which is important for a professional and polished product! I highly recommend Allan if you are a vocalist. He also has a quick turnaround time if you have a deadline to meet. Allan is also a great drummer and guitarist. I look forward to working with him again!
