Captain Fred Bach's Journey
In this vessel is the ashes of my father, Captain Frederick Guido Bach. His life was entwined with the sea and the sea is where he belongs. My dad started his career as a young man in the 1970’s on some of the last wooden schooners to fish, he worked longlining, trawling, purse seining, and dredging. When I was a boy he stayed mostly Inshore and he ran a clamming operation in NJ. As he got wiser and older he eventually landed on tug boats and found his true calling as a skilled and competent captain which he continued to do into his last year of life. My father always wished to take his sailboat and travel the world, life always got in the way and he never got that chance… until now. If you see this vessel, if you can, please let us know where he landed, snap a picture to load on the linktree website and send him back on his way. His dream is to travel the ocean currents and any help is appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to help Captain Fred achieve his dream.
